HOOPER WATER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS TO LEASE FARM GROUND
Hooper Water Improvement District (“District”) has acquired agricultural land for the purpose of meeting future District needs. District desires that the acquired property be leased for agricultural production until such time as the District’s need to use the property is imminent.
District is accepting proposals from agricultural producers to lease, farm and maintain District’s farm land, which is located at approximately 5400 West 5500 South, consisting of approximately 8.08 acres, and 8 shares of Hooper Irrigation Company water are available for use on the leased property. The Lease will be an annual lease with the option for annual renewals for two (2) additional one year terms. The proposed Lease Agreement is available for review at the District office, 5555 West 5500 South, Hooper, Utah 84315, and copies of the Lease Agreement will be provided on request.
Sealed proposals to lease the above-mentioned property must be delivered to the District office by November 15, 2021 on or before 4:30 PM. By submitting a proposal, including the annual rent that will be paid for the land and for the 8 water shares, all applicants will be deemed to have accepted the terms of the Lease Agreement. A proposal may consist of a signed Lease, using District’s form, with the dollar blanks filled in. Proposals will be opened on November 16, 2021 at 12:00 PM at the District office. The Lease will be considered for award at the next meeting of the District Board of Trustees on November 16, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. Any or all proposals may be rejected for any reason at the discretion of the District Board of Trustees.
