Sealed or PDF Bids for the construction of the PROPOSED 5100 SOUTH AND 5500 SOUTH
EXPLORATION WELLS will be received by Hooper Water Improvement District at the District office, PO Box
217; 5555 W 5500 S, Hooper Utah 84315 or scottc@hooperwater.net with a cc: to dan@gecivil.com, until
2:00 PM local time on February 7, 2023, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read
aloud.
The Project consists of: Drill two exploratory wells, 1,000 to 1,200 feet deep. Access and laydown yard at
each site has been prepared. Logs and samples as specified. Abandon before leaving site. The project
shall be governed by the contract documents.
Both Sites are in Hooper, Utah. Site A: 4750 W 5100 S; Site B: 5450 W 5500 S.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The contract will be
awarded, if it is to be awarded based on this solicitation, to the responsive, responsible bidder (please
refer specifically to Article 3 in Section 1.2) submitting the lowest bid. The District reserves the right to
reject any or all bids.

mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. The meeting will convene at
9:00 AM at the District Office and conclude with site visits.
Notice of Public Hearing
The Hooper Water Improvement District will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 5:15 p.m. at the District office, 5555 West 5500 South in Hooper, Utah for the purpose of receiving public input on the following:
- 2024-2030 Water Rates
- Impact Fee Rate and Analysis
The Fee Schedule and the Proposed Budget will be available for public inspection at the District office at least 14 day in advance of the public hearing. The hearing is being held specifically to comply with State law Fee Schedules. If you cannot attend the hearing and would like to submit written comments, they will be received until 4:30 p.m. on November 15, 2022 in the District office.

Sealed or PDF Bids for the construction of the 4000 South Tank Maintenance, 2022 will be received by
Hooper Water Improvement District at the District office, PO Box 217; 5555 W 5500 S, Hooper Utah 84315
or scottc@hooperwater.net, until 2:00 PM local time on 12/8/2022, at which time the Bids received will
be publicly opened and read aloud.
The Project consists of: Prepare and coat interior and exterior surfaces of 80 ft. tall x 42.5 ft. dia. tank and
accessories. Design and install safety improvements. The project shall be governed by the contract
documents.
The tank is located at 2579 West 4000 South, Roy City, Utah 84067. The successful bidder will be
responsible for all regulations relating to removal, containment, handling, storage, transportation,
disposal and documentation related to full removal of the original lead primer at no additional cost to
OWNER.

conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory.

You may have smelled or tasted chlorine in your water. We have been working on a filtration system for our 2nd well since 2017. The project is to the point that we can use this water and we are trying to regulate the chlorine that is necessary to keep our water clean, healthy and pleasing to drink. Please be patient with us as we try to get a good balance so the smell and taste are back to the standards you expect. We would also like insure you that your water has been, is, and will continue to be perfectly safe to drink, wash with and use as normal.
