Summer 2022 Newsletter
Over the past several years Utah has been experiencing ana extreme drought situation that has called for all of us to adjust our water usage. The hope for an above average snowpack this winter is slowly dwindlingpassed, and the prognosis for a wet spring hasis not goodhappened either. In truth it would take several years of above average snow pack and wetter springs to bring our water levels back to what would be considered normal.
With that in mind the State of Utah and water suppliers throughout the State are asking again for all of us to do our part and conserve this invaluable resource. The State of Utah has asked each us that we to reduce our water consumption by 20% over the next 8 years. That may sound like a lot, but it is doableachievable.
A few simple things that each of us can do are:
We are asking you to evaluate where you may be able to do your part and to make the necessary adjustments to conserve. As a bonus your water bill will be lower, too.
If you have other ideas or experiences that work for you, please share them with us and we will pass them on for others to try as well.
Water users within the Hooper Water Improvement District are to be commended for their efforts. Over the past 4 years the total water usage has dropped, we appreciate your care and concern to conserve water.
